Useful government datasets are now available in Google Earth Engine
The Google Earth Engine public data catalogue provides unprecedented access to Earth Observation datasets. Combined with the ability for users to upload other datasets and the massive compute of Google Cloud, Google Earth Engine has democratised big spatial data analytics. However, while the Google Earth Engine public data catalogue is massive it can’t contain all of the world’s open access datasets.
EO Data Science regularly uploads datasets to Google Earth Engine as part of our work to help others operationalise Earth Observations. Although these datasets are available via the institutions that created them, they have never been available, managed or maintained in Google Earth Engine until now. EO Data Science has made it easier than ever to access these data for you to use in Google Earth Engine.
To access these datasets directly in Google Earth Engine, fill out the form below.
In order to access the data catalogue you must already have a Google Earth Engine account – if you don’t have an account please sign up here.
